We’ve all felt it—that twinge when someone else has what we desire. Maybe it’s the friend with the dream relationship, the coworker who landed the promotion, or the stranger living the life we secretly crave. Jealousy and envy are common emotions, but they’re more than just uncomfortable feelings. From a spiritual perspective, they’re subtle forms of energy theft—and they keep us stuck in lack.
Let’s explore what these emotions really are, how they affect our energy, and how to release them so we can return to a state of gratitude, abundance, and joy.
Though the terms are often used interchangeably, they point to slightly different things:
Both emotions are rooted in comparison, scarcity, and the belief that what others have somehow diminishes us. But here’s the truth: there is no shortage of blessings in the Universe.
When we fall into jealousy or envy, we unconsciously direct our energy away from ourselves and toward what someone else has. This subtle shift creates a kind of spiritual leak. We “steal” by attaching to someone else’s energy—coveting what’s not ours—while simultaneously draining our own life force in the process.
It’s a double loss: we don’t get what we want, and we lose the peace we already had.
From an energetic standpoint, this is like turning your focus into a vacuum. Instead of circulating your own power and creativity, you’re pulling at someone else’s—and giving away your own.
Imagine planting a garden and then spending all your time staring at your neighbor’s flowers. You’d miss watering your own seeds.
Jealousy and envy take us out of alignment with our true path. When we focus on what others have, we disconnect from the blessings already available to us. We become blind to our own growth, our own timeline, and the unique gifts that are meant for us.
Energy flows where attention goes. The more we dwell on what we don’t have, the more we create a vibrational match to lack.
Awareness is the first step to change. If any of these resonate, you’re not alone—and you can shift it.
1. Acknowledge Without Shame
These emotions are human. Instead of suppressing them, name them. Say: “I feel envy right now.” This creates space between you and the emotion, so it doesn’t control you.
2. Call Your Energy Back
Literally. In your mind or out loud, say:
“I call my energy back to me from all people, places, and timelines where I’ve scattered it through comparison or desire. I am whole.”
This simple practice works like an energetic reset.
3. Shift Into Gratitude
Start with one thing in your life that you deeply appreciate. Gratitude expands your vibration and reorients your focus to abundance.
4. Use Others’ Success as Evidence
If it’s possible for them, it’s possible for you. Let what you see inspire you, not defeat you. Every blessing you witness is proof of what exists in the quantum field.
5. Affirm Your Path
Repeat:
“What’s mine cannot miss me. I trust divine timing. I am aligned with my own joy.”
Jealousy and envy may seem like passing emotions, but they’re actually invitations to return to ourselves. When we stop giving our energy away—coveting what is not ours—we reclaim our power to create a life that’s authentically aligned with our soul.
Remember: your joy, your peace, your success—they’re never found in someone else’s lane. They’re waiting for you in your own.

What is happiness, really? Is it a fleeting emotion, a state of mind, or something deeper—something that connects us to the Divine, to our higher selves, and to one another?
Here, at Happiness with Mystic Harmony, we explore happiness not just as a personal goal, but as a spiritual practice. One that lives at the heart of metaphysical study and resonates across faith traditions, cultures, and belief systems. I’ve been seeking methods of attaining daily moments of happiness for many years now.
In metaphysical thought, happiness isn’t something we chase—it’s something we return to. It’s the natural state of the soul when we’re aligned with universal truths like love, peace, and purpose.
Practices such as:
…aren’t just spiritual trends—they’re tools to help us realign with joy. Metaphysics teaches us that happiness is energetic. When we’re out of alignment, we feel disconnected. But when we tune into our higher consciousness—through intuition and intention—happiness becomes a natural expression of who we are.
This sense of joy isn’t exclusive to any one path. Whether you:
…you are connecting to something greater than yourself. And in that connection, there is joy.
Across the world’s diverse faith communities, we see common themes:
These are all essential elements of happiness. From Christianity’s “joy in the Lord,” to Buddhism’s teachings on inner peace, to Indigenous wisdom honoring harmony with nature—joy is a spiritual thread that connects us all.
At Mystic Harmony, we believe happiness is inclusive and expansive. It’s not about subscribing to one path or rejecting another. It’s about finding what resonates with your soul—and following that feeling of peace, light, and connection.
Whether you’re exploring:
…there is space for you here.
You are worthy of happiness, just as you are.
You don’t need to be perfect or enlightened to experience joy.
Sometimes, it’s in the smallest sacred moments—a deep breath, a whispered prayer, a moment of gratitude—that happiness shines through.
Happiness isn’t a destination—it’s a spiritual practice. And it belongs to all of us.
What brings you happiness on your spiritual path?

For centuries, women have turned to magic for protection, empowerment, and rebellion. In a world still shaped by patriarchal structures, modern witches are reclaiming their power—casting spells not just for love and prosperity but also for justice, safety, and self-sovereignty.
Whether you’re new to witchcraft or a seasoned practitioner, there are powerful ways to use ritual, energy work, and divine feminine magic to shield yourself from harm and dismantle oppressive forces. Let’s explore practical ways to hex the patriarchy and keep the bad guys at bay.
Every modern witch should have a strong energetic shield. Protection magic is one of the oldest forms of spellwork, used to guard against harm, negativity, and unwanted influence.
• Ingredients: A black candle, a piece of obsidian or black tourmaline, and protective herbs like rosemary or bay leaves.
• Steps: Light the candle and say:
“I call upon my power bright, shield me now, both day and night. No harm shall pass, nor ill intent, by sacred will, my strength is sent.”
• Carry the stone with you and visualize a glowing shield of white or golden light surrounding you throughout the day.
Your home should be a sanctuary, free from oppressive energy and negativity. A simple but effective way to keep your space sacred is by creating wards—magical barriers that protect against harm.
• Salt & Herbs: Sprinkle black salt at your doorstep and window sills to block unwanted energy. Add dried rosemary or mugwort for extra protection.
• Sigils & Symbols: Draw protective sigils on your doors or mirrors. The ancient symbol of the triple goddess (☽●☾) or the pentacle are excellent choices.
• Sound Cleansing: Use bells, chimes, or singing bowls to break stagnant energy and reinforce your space’s safety.
Hexing has long been debated in the witchcraft community, but as the saying goes, “A witch who cannot hex cannot heal.” The key is intent—using banishing magic for self-defense, justice, and protecting yourself from harm.
• What You’ll Need: A black candle, a piece of paper, and a cauldron or fire-safe dish.
• Steps: Write the name of an oppressive force (an abuser, a system, or internalized beliefs) on the paper. Light the black candle and say:
“With fire and ash, I set you free. No more power you have over me.”
• Burn the paper safely, visualizing the energy dissolving into nothingness.
The divine feminine is a powerful force of intuition, creation, and resilience. Whether you connect with goddesses, ancestors, or your inner wisdom, tapping into this energy can help you reclaim your power.
• Work with Goddess Archetypes: Invoke deities like Lilith (rebellion), Hecate (wisdom & protection), or Brigid (healing & justice).
• Moon Rituals: Align your magic with the lunar cycle—set intentions on the new moon, release negativity on the full moon.
• Self-Worship Rituals: Treat yourself as sacred—take ritual baths, wear oils or perfumes dedicated to empowerment, and practice daily affirmations.
The patriarchy isn’t just external—it can live within us through societal conditioning, generational trauma, and self-doubt. Spellwork can help break these cycles and reclaim autonomy.
• Supplies: Two candles (one for you, one representing the old belief/system), a piece of string, and scissors.
• Steps: Tie the string between the candles. Light them and say:
“No longer bound, I break this chain. My power returns, I rise again.”
• Cut the string, symbolizing your release from past limitations.
Witchcraft isn’t just a solo practice—it thrives in community. One of the best ways to hex the patriarchy is by supporting, uplifting, and protecting each other.
• Join feminist or spiritual groups focused on empowerment.
• Share knowledge and rituals with fellow witches.
• Use collective spellwork to amplify energy for justice and change.
Patriarchal oppression thrives on disempowerment, but witchcraft is an act of radical reclamation. By using protection magic, banishing harmful energies, and embracing divine feminine power, you can walk through the world with confidence and strength.
So light your candles, set your intentions, and remember: A well-witched world is a powerful one.
